About Me
I am a cellist and private string teacher currently living in Springfield, MO.
I have taught private students and performed in weddings all over the state, including Kansas City and Columbia.

Education and Experience
I am a graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in Music Education. During my time as a student there, I was a cello teacher in the Missouri String Project on campus. I have taught many private students, including beginning and intermediate students ranging from 3rd graders to adults. I student taught high school orchestra, elementary strings, and elementary general music in the Lee's Summit school district.
As a Mizzou student, I was a cellist in the University of Missouri Philharmonic. I also performed in several chamber groups with other Mizzou musicians. I've had the pleasure of not only performing in the Mizzou Cello Choir but also arranging music for this group to perform and collaborating with Mizzou Athletics to perform the national anthem at basketball games.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that everyone has the potential to be a musician, regardless of age or initial talent. All that is required is the willingness to learn and the discipline to practice. I strive to teach all students technique, theory, and musicianship. These three things are needed for students to have a greater understanding and more meaningful interpretation of the music they are learning and performing.
